What is a Parks and Trail Master Plan?
A Parks and Trail Master Plan is a guiding document that outlines a City’s vision, goals, and strategies for its parks, trails, and open spaces. It serves as a guide for future development and investment, guiding decisions on parkland acquisition, facility improvements, recreational programming, and connectivity between green spaces.
This plan considers the community’s current conditions, growth projections, and environmental factors to ensure that parks and trails remain accessible and beneficial for all residents. By addressing elements such as park amenities, trail networks, and funding strategies, it helps enhance the overall quality of life for the community.
