Code Enforcement
City codes and ordinances have been created to protect the health, safety and quality of life of our residents.
Josephine Code makes sure city codes and ordinances are met so Josephine continues to be a livable city. We do this by educating, collaborating and partnering with neighborhoods, local businesses, non-profits, and other City of Josephine departments.
Code Enforcement is responsible for addressing nuisance and property standard violations to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the community. These violations include high weeds and grass, trash and debris, illegal dumping, home occupations and abandoned vehicles. The main goal of this enforcement is to reduce neighborhood deterioration and to ensure property values.
A complete copy of ordinances pertaining to city codes is available at City Hall.
